You’re not unmotivated. You’re unsupervised.

Private boxing coaching in Miami Beach with Dino Spencer — co-owner of 5th Street Fight Sports, who trained Adriana Lima for Victoria’s Secret and cornered title fights in two countries. Turning up is the hard part. He takes it from there.

Thirty minutes, free, no obligation. Dino looks at where you are and tells you honestly what he’d work on. If it isn’t a fit he’ll say so — you’ll have lost half an hour and gained a straight answer.

No commitment. Dino texts you within 24 hours to schedule.

Why this keeps not happening

You’re disciplined everywhere else. Nobody’s checking here.

At work you perform because people are counting on you.

Miss a meeting and there are consequences. Miss a Tuesday at the gym and nothing happens at all. That isn’t a character flaw — it’s the absence of a structure you have everywhere else in your life.

Once you’re home, you’re home.

You already know this about yourself. Sit down once and the evening is decided. The problem was never the hour of training. It’s the twenty minutes before it.

You don’t need another plan.

You’ve read the books. You know what to do. Knowing has never once been the part that was missing.

And you know “no time” isn’t quite true.

You’ve found time for harder things. What you haven’t found is a reason to leave the house when nobody is waiting.

All four are the same problem. Not willpower — nobody is expecting you. Dino is the appointment.

Proof, if you want it

Adriana Lima could afford anyone. She still needed someone waiting.

She could train anywhere, at any hour, with anyone who would take the call. What she booked was a coach who expected her at a set time and noticed when she wasn’t there. That isn’t a fitness purchase. It’s the same one you’d be making.

Trained

Adriana Lima. Dave Chappelle. Mario Lopez. Jeremy Piven. LeBron James.

Lima trained with him extensively, for Victoria’s Secret. The others when they were in Miami.

Protected

Michael Jordan. Dennis Rodman. Sammy Sosa. Mark Wahlberg. Michael Phelps. Christopher Walken. David Schwimmer.

Close protection, mostly through the Chicago years.

The five he trained mostly had a coach at home already. That isn’t the point. The point is what an hour with him is worth to someone who can choose anyone — no ramp-up, no getting to know you, just the work.

You get the same hour they did.

Turning up is the hard part. He takes it from there.

Who this is for

You don’t need another bootcamp. You need a coach.

You run something — a business, a team, a desk. You used to be in shape. Now you carry the kind of stress that sleeps badly and doesn’t respond to a 45-minute circuit class.

You’ve tried the routine: a trainer at a chain gym, group classes, the latest app. The hour passes, you sweat, nothing changes. That’s not a motivation problem. That’s a method problem.

What you want is one room, one coach, one program built around your body, your schedule, and what you’re actually trying to do. That’s what private boxing at 5th Street is.

Why boxing, specifically

Dino Spencer holding focus mitts in the ring while a client throws a punch.

You can skip a run. You can’t skip a man holding pads.

It needs two people. There is no version of this you do alone at your own pace, which means the accountability isn’t a feature somebody added — it’s how the sport works. Dino is standing in a room at seven, and he will notice.

It also takes your whole attention. You can’t think about the quarter while someone is throwing punches at you.

And you get visibly better at something, fast — a thing your body can do in week three that it couldn’t in week one.

The conditioning is the part you can see. The part you keep is that you did the hard thing at seven in the morning before anyone asked you to.

Why it works

Coaching, not content. Method, not vibes.

Always one-on-one

No group classes. No shared trainer. Sixty minutes of Dino’s full attention, every session — at 5th Street or live online when you travel.

Real boxing, not bootcamp cosplay

Proper form on the bag and the pads. Footwork, defense, conditioning — built up in the right order, the way a coach actually trains a fighter.

A program, not a workout

Twelve-week arcs with real progression. Strength, conditioning, technique, and recovery — calibrated to your starting point and your calendar.

The method doesn’t change. The athlete does.

Dino co-founded BoxAbility International with Brian Roman, Ph.D., teaching boxing to people with physical and cognitive disabilities. Same coaching, adapted to whoever is in front of him — which is the whole job, whether you arrive in a wheelchair or straight from a desk.

In 2015 the Mayor of Miami Beach proclaimed October 21 Dino Spencer Day for that work.

Who you’d be working with

Dino Spencer in the gym, the ring and heavy bags behind him.

Thirty years in the corner.

He has cornered title fights in the United States and Europe, and he is still a student himself — a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, working toward black. The same eye that reads a professional in round nine reads what your shoulder is doing in week one.

He is head coach and co-owner of 5th Street Fight Sports in Miami Beach — the historic 5th Street Gym, where Ali trained and where Dino learned the job from Angelo Dundee, now joined with Fight Sports. One room, the boxing lineage and the grappling both.

Thirty minutes at 5th Street

Wraps on, some light work on the pads so he can see how you actually move, and a straight conversation about what you’re trying to do. You will not be asked to spar. Wear anything you can move in.

03

Decide if it’s a fit

You leave with an honest assessment and a plan. If you want to keep going, Dino goes through frequency and the options. If not, you got a straight read from a coach who has watched thousands of people move.

Common questions

What people ask first.

I’ve never boxed before. Is this a fit?

Most of Dino’s clients have never thrown a real punch when they start. Beginners are the rule, not the exception. The program meets you where you are.

How often will I train?

Most clients train two to three times per week. Dino will give you a specific recommendation after your consultation based on your fitness, goals, and schedule.

What does it cost?

It depends on how often you train, where you train — 5th Street or a location arranged closer to you — and how long a program you want. Dino goes through the options after your free session. There is no pressure and no sales pitch.

I travel for work. Does that break the program?

No. When you’re out of Miami, sessions move to live online — same coaching, same accountability, real-time feedback on technique and pacing.

What if I have an old injury?

Tell Dino during the consultation. He’s coached clients through rotator cuff rehab, knee surgeries, and a lot of mileage. Programs are built around what your body can do today.

Before you talk yourself out of it

The five things that stop everyone.

He has heard all of them. Not one is about ability — they are the same worry wearing five different coats: that you’ll walk in and be the worst person in the room.

I should get in shape first.

Backwards. Getting in shape is what the training does. Everyone in that gym arrived unfit, including the ones who look like they didn’t.

I’ll get hit.

You won’t. Sparring is a decision you make much later, if you ever make it at all. Plenty of clients never do.

I’m too old.

The man teaching you is still grading himself, and he is not young either. Boxing is one of the few things you can get genuinely better at in your fifties and sixties, because it rewards reading people over reacting fast.

I’d embarrass myself.

It’s a private session. Nobody is watching, and the one person who is has spent thirty years coaching beginners.

I don’t have the time.

An hour, twice a week. Less than you spent on your phone before lunch today.

Tell Dino where you’re starting. He’ll text you back today.

No commitment. Dino texts you within 24 hours to schedule.
